Jelly Bean Houses of St John NFL Art Quilts
10 Attachment(s)
Well all the pieces are in and this weekend a couple of the ladies are going to help me mount them as a collage. Their execution was a stretch for some of my group but I think you'll agree they are all delightful. They are all about the same size. Our finished piece will be about 40x40. This will be entered as a group effort in our RCQG Show May 1/2.

Those are so much fun looking. So different women made different houses?
|
MaryKatherine - I'm from St. John's and just love your depiction of the Jelly Bean Houses! Once, you mostly saw them in the outports of Newfoundland, now they are emblematic of the capital city, St John's. You can see them everywhere in town. You've captured the whimsical feel of those mainly row houses perfectly. Outstanding!!!
|
WOW, WOW and WOW

I have tried to recreate these myself so know the challenge this presented - you have done a superb job at capturing the feel and image of the place.
