Fun Strip quilt. Your colors all go so well together.

Daylesewblessed 01-07-2014 07:11 PM

The fun thing about jelly roll quilts is the random design that results. Yours looks great!

earthwalker 01-07-2014 07:17 PM

Very pretty. I am thinking of doing "my own thing" as jelly rolls are a bit expensive here, besides I have lots of scraps.

Looks great! Everytime I see this jelly roll quilt I always think to myself "I have to make one of those". Maybe I can make one this weekend with a pack of bali strips I have. Hmmmm Thanks for the inspiration!

I love the angle ends. Good Job.

I think these are such a great way to use those left over strips or make strips from your stash as you did.
So, what is the best way to quilt one of these?

mjhaess 01-09-2014 07:37 AM

That looks great...

gramadona 01-09-2014 02:58 PM

It's great!
I think quilting with curved lines would
set off the strips quite nicely.

fred singer 01-09-2014 04:07 PM

awesome job

Auntie Em 01-09-2014 06:23 PM

I love the colors and you chose the perfect border fabric!

maxnme01 01-10-2014 03:13 PM

Nice colors. I suggest quilting it with large diagonal cross hatching corner to corner. Maybe make the lines 3 inches apart. It will be fast an easy. Good Luck

I had to look twice at this quilt. I made one at Christmas time that had colors very close to this one. I just quilted in the ditch on mine as it was getting close to Christmas and I still had to do the binding. I gave it to an 80 year old friend to use while he watches TV and he loves it. Jelly Roll quilts are such a quick and easy quilt and a good way to use up scraps.
