finally finished the binding tonight. since it is a twin size it looks small on the bed. the little guy i am giving it to for his birthday has a twin bed.
this was a fun pattern to work with.

Moonpi 12-15-2007 07:08 PM

That looks like a fun pattern to make!

Sis 12-15-2007 09:20 PM

I love your jigsaw quilt. :D Is it your original pattern that you would be willing to share?

Sis

DebJ 12-15-2007 09:40 PM

Sis, it isn't an original for I have the pattern also. I even have my pieces cut out but when I started to put it on the design board with the particular fabrics I chose. I decided I wasn't in the mood to make it after all. Don't know if I ever will. :(

Sis 12-15-2007 09:43 PM

I hope you don't mind me asking,"Why?"

Rebecca Chambley 12-16-2007 01:26 AM

That is a Handsome quilt. On the bed it even looked better. That is really nice.

ddrobins1956 12-16-2007 06:31 AM

Thats a beauty. You did a wonderful job. did you quilt it also?

nanabirdmo 12-16-2007 06:42 AM

i did not quilt it. there is a lovely lady in town who has a quilting biz and she and her daughter do a great job for a reasonable price.

nanabirdmo 12-16-2007 06:44 AM

sis, not my original pattern. picked it up at HANCOCK. it was unusual in that you start at one corner and build it from that spot. a little bit of brain exercise for me. my brain needs all the exercise it can get.

Jerrie 12-16-2007 07:37 AM

That is a nice quilt there is a puzzle quilt with the round edges also

Diamonds 12-16-2007 09:44 AM

I think Jigsaw Puzzle quilts are cheerful and fun to look at and have.. Yours is beautiful..

barnbum 12-16-2007 01:37 PM

I have never seen that before and am amazed at how much it looks like a jigsaw!! :D That is so cool! It looks like a good pattern to use up some scraps on. I'm going to look for it.

Thank you for sharing.

Edited to add: I found it. I was surprised to find at least two different puzzle quilt patterns--but this one is the best.

Knot Sew 12-16-2007 02:29 PM

a very pretty quilt you did a nice job. :D :D

Sis 12-16-2007 07:27 PM

Where did you find the puzzle quilt pattern? I Googled it and so many sites came up, I was overwhelmed. Please help. :( Thanks.

barnbum 12-16-2007 07:34 PM

Here you go: http://www.shiboridragon.com/Quilt-Patterns2.htm
I just ordered it--all these beautiful quilts are getting me into all kinds of trouble. I have at least 543+ patterns in my sewing room waiting to be done--and 3 quilt books coming for Christmas--and do you really think I need another pattern???????

Well, I guess so, since I just ordered two.

This forum is trouble I tell you, trouble.

Could everyone make ugly quilts for a few months?? If not, how about ones waaay to tricky for me to consider?

jbsstrawberry 12-16-2007 07:41 PM

That is one fantastic quilt!!! You did a great job, what a lucky little man!!

rein 12-16-2007 08:59 PM

It is totally delightful! I can think of at LEAST 4 in my family who would LOVE to have one like this! Now I guess, I will have to get a pattern and see if I could possibly do one myself.

Loved your Star Cabin too - you could get me into even more trouble than I am by showing off these lovely items you make.

Thanks so much for sharing.
