I made a tie blanket for my granddaughter. The significance of the penguin is because it is a word she can say in Spanish. My son, her father, is deceased and it was a word he taught her.

I'm going to give it to her for Christmas. Her name is Rebecca Jo, but we call her Jojo, so therefore the name for the blanket is "Jo Penguin".

Thank you all for the kind thoughts and kind words. My son was born on Valentine's Day 1985, he died in a car accident exactly 1 wk after his 24th birthday (2/21/2009).

Trust me, no one would want to put my shoes on in the morning, but I am so blessed that I have my granddaughter.
I have been collecting fabrics with hearts to make her a quilt and put a picture of him so that she will always have her Daddy with her.

It's actually flannel. She is very hot natured so, I figured the flannel would do the job. LOL

I got it at JoAnn's. It was on sale a few weeks ago so I couldn't pass it up. I'm thinking I may go back to see if they still have some so I can make her a matching pillow case.

I might have to send my mom to pick me up some! She has a joannes!
