I went to JoAnns today and was thrilled to get fat quarter blender bundles for 3.49 a piece (plus my 15% teacher discount.) I am thinking I might have to make a really colorful quilt with black as the background. Hmmm. Anyway, I might have to go back on Monday to get more. It seems harder and harder to get blenders at a chain store and even at the LQS to get ones that go so well together unless it is a big shop. Then, you have to pull from several areas.

SO any suggestions on a pattern? I would love to be able to use all the colors in one quilt.

I'd do a trip around the world.

Darn...I wish I didn't have this terrible cold....I would be there in the morning....but I won't be guilty of spreading this around......sigh

Wow, you can do a rainbow quilt of some sort with those fabrics.

If I did this right this link should take you to the 2009 BOM called "A Touch of Amish" which I was downloading all last year, & would love to have the kind of fabrics you got to do. I'm thinking of going to a dyeing class at the Quilting in the Pines camp next week in Flagstaff just because not only would I get to play w/dyeing fabrics, but would end up w/my own for this quilt. Don't know that I will, but the thought is nice... Now if Joanne's was around the corner, this sale would make a much cheaper option... http://floridacabinfever.com/ I guess what you need to do is click on the "for members" in the toolbar (after "about us" & "Cabin news"), scroll down to "Block of the month", then select "2009" to see the blocks. |
Wow, those are so pretty. I need to get over there this weekend.
|
I need those for a stained glass quilt I'm going to make for my DD's 40th birthday!
|
The pattern is in the book Turning Twenty Simply Sashed. It looks like it will be quick and easy.
|
Very nice bright blenders!!! Looks like a great sale!
|
Just a thought, go on line & order them----Before they opened the Joann's in OB, MS I ordered all the time with great luck---Lots of time they offer free shipping but you would need to get on the mailing list---

I really like the solids.
I think they would make a beautiful Kaleidoscope quilt. Too bad there is no Jo-Ann's near me. |
Went to Joann's this afternoon! Spent $45 and saved $126 with the sale discounts and the coupons in the circular!
Don't forget the extra 10% on ALL purchases!!! |
