Joy Lynn, my almost sister
3 Attachment(s)
My Uncle and Aunt had lost 2 babies when I came along. They asked to adopt me but my parents said no. Joy did not come along til I was 8 years old. Yes, I was spoiled by 2 families. But if I had been adopted, Joy would be my sister. When she saw some of the pictures of quilts I had made, she said she wanted one too, but in a kidding kinda way. She does not know she will be getting this at the family reunion in a couple of weeks. Her favorite colors were blank, purple and green. This is my first Irish Chain and I must be doing it wrong because it was very easy????? It is all hand quilted. I hope she, and you, like it!

I really like how you took an old fashioned block on the front and paired it with free form patches on the back.

Those colors are fabulous. Nice job on the front and the back. I loved pieced backs, adds so much interest. Thanks for sharing.
