Julia is beautiful! What a great job she is doing designing her own quilt and sewing it!! Way to go!!!

annee 04-22-2013 12:43 PM

I love your granddaughter! She has lots of spunk! She surely is a hoot to have around. Aren't you the lucky one! By the way, please tell I like her quilt. I will be looking forward to seeing more quilts and she continues to learn more!

RedGarnet222 04-22-2013 01:25 PM

You are one brave woman. I just bought my niece a sewing machine and I am agonizing over teaching her to sew on it. She is seven. Your little five year old cutie looks like she is having such a good time. I hope I can be as fun at teaching as you are.

Nice work little one! Keep up the good work.

sharoney 04-22-2013 02:13 PM

What a doll!

MartiMorga 04-22-2013 02:20 PM

WOW! I am impressed! Julia, you are one talented young lady and cute too! Love your quilt, love your colors and am so happy to see you sewing already! I know we will be seeing much more from you as the years go on - hope you post the finished product.

Boston1954 04-22-2013 02:55 PM

What an adorable smile!!! I like her color choices. That is going to be a terrific quilt. Will she be hand quilting? I will be very interested to see her choice for the stitching.

serenitybygrace 04-22-2013 03:16 PM

Precious little 5 year old and she is really proud of that quilt! Tell her that we all cheer for her efforts and accomplishment.

twinkie 04-23-2013 02:45 AM

Start them young and they will be ribbon winners.

Way to go, Julia! It looks like you are having fun making your quilt. I hope you enjoyed the process and will continue making quilts. You should be proud of yourself.

What a cutie pie. Glad that you are encouraging creativity in her.

kellen46 04-23-2013 04:59 AM

I see great things, sewing and more, for this girl...she IS a cutie pie but also her intelligence and verve come through. She knows what she likes and likes what she knows...keep on keeping on Julia.

lillybeck 04-23-2013 05:03 AM

It is so great when the little ones start sewing.

Great quilt top and one amazing young lady!

matraina 04-23-2013 06:32 AM

She's adorable. Her quilts look better than mine.

cpcarolyn 04-23-2013 06:50 AM

What a wonderful quilt and a sweet little girl. So proud and having a great time to boot.

catmcclure 04-23-2013 07:19 AM

She's gorgeous - looks a lot like my great-granddaughter. While you're teaching her to quilt, you'd better teach her how to sew clothing. My youngest grand-daughter and my great-granddaughter are both extremely interested in pretty dresses and fashion - They're both 6 years old. When they get in their teens I don't think we'll be able to afford them if they can't sew their own.

MargeD 04-23-2013 08:18 AM

What a cutie pie - she has all the makings of a quilter with a good eye for color. Congratulations on helping her make this quilt - because she is so involved, she will always cherish it.

JuneD 04-23-2013 08:31 AM

Julia looks as though she is having a blast!!!!

Chis2 04-23-2013 09:51 AM

She is cute and obviously enjoying herself. You are building wonderful memories as you spend quality time together. I am so envious. I have been wanting to do that with my granddaughters but the one old enough lives too far away. In a few years, the two that live closer will be old enough.

Slow2Sew 04-23-2013 09:58 AM

What an adorable little sweetheart! She is certainly proud of her quilt.

BrendaK 04-23-2013 12:24 PM

PRICELESS. Both are beautiful. BrendaK

QandE2010 04-23-2013 12:26 PM

How nice that she has taken an interest in quilting at her young age. Just keep encouraging her and she'll do fine.
