So the title basically describes it   :D ! Patchy disappearing nine patch made with pinks and mint greens and black on white prints to match the backing fabric. Hopefully it will be a good comfort quilt for a lil' peanut. It's all pinned and ready to be quilted. I'm thinking in the ditch since all the prints are kinda busy. Anyhoodles..yay or nay?

I flipped up the backing corner on the lower right but this is the whole thing

That is soooo cute! I love the back too! Great job!!!!

Harmony 09-22-2008 10:44 PM

The black really sets off the pink. Is this a double-sided quilt???

PrettyKitty 09-22-2008 11:48 PM

I love the colours! What a yummy quilt that is going to be! I think stitch in the ditch will really enhance the pattern, although I did diagonal lines on my D9P baby one I did last week, and that was a 'busy' pattern too and it looked ok I think. Can't wait to see what you choose to do and how it comes out

Cute!!!Cute!!! I think anyone would be thrilled to get it.

adyldrop 09-23-2008 05:13 AM

aww thanks guys! The backing is a flannel so I think the stitch in the ditch would be better cause I could use my walking foot. I did think about meandering gcathie but I was a bit chicken with the flannel. Thanks for all the nice comments!

twistedstitcher 09-23-2008 08:45 AM

REALLY pretty! Love the backing fabric too!

Very pretty. I like way you mixed them up. That is a fun and fast pattern to make.

quiltsRfun 09-23-2008 10:21 AM

What a gorgeous quilt. I've got to try this pattern. Been itching to do it but my sewing is on hold for a couple of weeks.

bj 09-23-2008 11:10 AM

That is so cute. I thought the butterflies were the 9-patch side...I could not figure it out at all. Then I looked at the other pic! Duh! I love it!

zyxquilts 09-23-2008 02:12 PM

It's a smilie quilt alright! Great job Ady! :D:D:D:D:D

Susan in Texas 09-23-2008 02:27 PM

I love what you have done....it is lovely. I am thrilled that you have done the front side as well as the back side....that is a great inspiration to me. Thanks!

Marcia 09-23-2008 05:30 PM

I love it--great fabric colors. And the backing is really cute too.

sewnsewer2 09-23-2008 06:18 PM

You did a great job and I love the butterfly fabric!

bluebird 09-23-2008 06:27 PM

Such a cute girly girl quilt, love the fabrics, great job.

adyldrop 09-23-2008 07:23 PM

Awww thanks guys! I was thinking about it all day while at work. Dumb work! Ha! Is meandering with a flannel background okay you think or would I be better off just stitching in the ditch on it? I can't decide.

jbsstrawberry 09-23-2008 07:27 PM

ady!!! It's so cute! Wonderful job darlin!! Perfect colors and everything! You're soo good :D I'm so proud of ya!!

Very pretty---front and back!

Bevanger 09-24-2008 04:31 AM

Very pretty. I love all the colors

GailG 09-26-2008 05:23 PM

WOW ! I just love the pink and green with the black and white. Since I made my first D9P 2 weeks ago, I have not been able to get my mind off of it. I keep thinking about different combinations I want to do. As soon as I finish :c) with my UFO, I want to do more D9Ps. How many squares are in that beautiful quilt, Ady?

rein 09-27-2008 08:47 AM

Ady - It is absolutely gorgeous!!! Beautiful job! Front and back are debatable as to which is the cutest. You go girl!!!

GailG 09-27-2008 12:09 PM

OK, I am SO naive. So, is the backing pieced or whole cloth? It looks pieced, but where's the block? I have never backed a quilt with flannel. Never thought of it, since we have so little cold here.

DJ 09-27-2008 01:18 PM

Lovely! Great colors!

sharon b 09-27-2008 02:17 PM

I know I am kinda late uin this but what about just tying it. I did a pinwheel doll quilt and after that didn't want to cover any of the "wheels " with stitching as to cover the design so I just tied it,. Just a thought if you don't want to overwhelm the already beautiful quilt. GREAT job !

Feathers 09-27-2008 03:59 PM

Melissa: Your quilt is so pretty and fresh looking. It also has a reversible "feel" to it with the backing that you used. How cool is that?
Great job. Thanks for sharing.

Diane007 07-20-2012 07:14 PM

I have always liked DP9
nice

MaryMo 07-20-2012 08:20 PM

Just a question .... do your seams on the front and back match? If you do a stitch in the ditch on the front, will this match the back side. It is a beautiful quilt. It will be one lucky little lady that gets this one!
