Beautiful flowers and garden. When do you find time to quilt?.

rosemaynes 06-15-2011 06:05 AM

WOW if I had a yard like that .... I don't think I would ever get to sew. That is just beautiful.

lyndad 06-15-2011 06:15 AM

Very pretty, the heat, wind and no rain in my area makes it impossible to have anything pretty for very long. How peaceful your yard looks.

Joan 06-15-2011 06:16 AM

What a welcoming place---love what you've done to your yard!

delightful! I am working on my garden like crazy..I have just lived here for 1 1/2years so mine is not nearly as lush but it is coming along. My peony plants took a real beating in the last rain but were so pretty for a short while..Oh well, next year!

nanababy 06-15-2011 07:09 AM

How do you have time to take care of those beds and quilt too??? The beds are great..

I have always been able to stay at home,so that leaves me much more time than many of you. My husband is a partner in the yards and we both enjoy the work. I have slowly begun to plant easy care perennials like daylilies and peonies, ect. Hostas are another easy care plant. Just a hobby I've always loved!

Your flower beds are lovely. Also like your raised beds.
You sure have a green thumb.

Peonies are my favorite flower. They are so fragrant and fragile like a southern lady in a frilly antebellum dress.

Beautiful garden! I love your playhouse, the peonies, and your entire yard...the hammock is so inviting...I could spent time there reading. Thanks for sharing!

My Westie thinks that gophers and rabbits are yummy. She
keeps the vermin away from our vegetable garden.

Marciachadsey 06-15-2011 08:17 PM

Looks just enchanting. And here I am in AZ where I could never have a gaden like yours 'cause I'm in the desert part of the state. As the saying goes . . . the grass is always greener . . .

Cottontop 06-15-2011 08:53 PM

Our yard is coming along...I just dug up about a hundred bricks that were originally supposed to be a border around a very small garden patch! Wish I was in your yard.

We really don't have critter problems. We have a couple terriers that take care of that! I think a dog outside would help a lot, and a Jack Russel or similar type dog will for sure! Our dogs are a Jack Russel mix. Here is Lolly-she is so smart,a joy to have.

lorimax5859 06-16-2011 05:22 AM

Wow, you sure have a green thumb. It is so beautiful and peaceful looking. We have a hammock in our yard too, and it is my husband's favorite spot to relax in.
