Heres a quilt I just finished for my younger brother Bradley. The pattern is called Ellens star from quilterscache web sight/ I have 6 brothers & 2 sisters(including me-9 in all). I'm the oldest. I'm close to my family, but some brothers not so close. So I've made quilts for my 2 sisters & my younger(baby) brother. The next 3 quilts, that I will make is for my wife San Juanita sisters & husbands. Just 3 sisters. And then from there I'll start on me again. And evenutally make a quilt to start hand quilting. I have 1, I'm hand quilting now. I'm a 1/4 way done of working on it. Take care everyone Don-isewmanThe 1st 2 pictures are of my brothers quilt. And the next 2 pictures are for my 2 sisters-Kathy & Sandra

They're beautiful. You do such great work. Question; Do you use a hoop or frame or hoopless?

MarLeClair 06-11-2016 09:23 AM

I really like this one. I love the green material.

Love your quilts Don and your journey into hand quilting will be a challenge but do-able; also love all the advice you give on machines. Thanks for sharing.

Karamarie 06-12-2016 04:27 AM

Very nice work Don. I am currently making quilts for all my nieces and nephews for a total of 19. Have 9 left to go. Am utilizing my scraps for some. It's fun to have a specific use for the quilts.

Homespun 06-12-2016 04:28 AM

Beautiful work!!!

EmiliasNana 06-12-2016 04:53 AM

Love, love, the stars in the stars. Like Jan, they are my favorite. Your quilts are always so perfectly pieced and yet you crank them out quickly. WOW.

maviskw 06-12-2016 04:55 AM

That Ellen's Star quilt pattern is amazing. I've never seen one like that before. Sure is beautiful.
I hope you make quilts for all your brothers. Just keep them in a safe place and they can have them after you are gone.

GrammaTerry 06-12-2016 07:24 AM

One question...do you ever sleep? You couldn't possibly and still get this much done. I am inspired by your work. I'm looking up the first quilt pattern. It would be perfect for a Fourth of July quilt. :)

carolynjo 06-12-2016 08:15 AM

I LOVE the first quilt! That green really makes the quilt. How in the world do you get so much done!? Keep them coming.
