This is for my middle great nephew, as I call it his big boy baseball quilt. He was born in 2001. I was volunteering in NY at ground zero when he was born and then his Great Grandfather, my dad died that December.

Both of his brother's got baby quilts, when they were born, but I never got around to Paul's. I plan on putting a little history on the label about the events the year he was born.

Better late than never. Then of course I will have to make big boy quilts for the other two, which I look forward to doing.

I love how you tied the color scheme to the events going on when he was born and his love of baseball! What a great idea with what you will add to the quilt label too!!! I think he really "scored" with this quilt :D :D :D

He is such a great little boy and loves baseball, his favorite sport.

His dad is an Athletic Director, so all the boys are involved in all kinds of sports. So more sports quilts to come.
