Looks like a flower garden with all those bright colors. Well done.

A happy and cheerful quilt. Just lovely.

Oh my!! Your Flower Garden is so pretty!!!!

KathyPhillips 02-10-2013 07:17 PM

Are you appliqueing the hexes on the black? I haven't seen this pattern on a black background, but it is really pretty with the bright hexes. I have the GMFG quilt that my late Mother made for me in the early 70's on my recliner. It is set together with green, traditionally for the leaves and background of the flowers.

jeanharville 02-10-2013 07:30 PM

This GFG is going to be outstanding. I would love to make one, but I will have to rake up some endurance from somewhere. I'm slow and it would take me a life time. But I am happy for you and that you shared it with us.

Auntie Em 02-10-2013 07:53 PM

Awesome!!!

Dee 02-10-2013 08:21 PM

Made a hex quilt with applique and won't do another. Your quilt is very beautiful.

colleenancel 02-10-2013 11:32 PM

I love it! It reminds me of a crocheted afghan my grandmother had over her couch back in the 50's. That's an amazing amount of work. I would be blind by now. Big kudos for all the hours spent, and the great result!

llama4114 02-11-2013 12:13 AM

I am not appliqueing, Its going to be made completely out of Hexagons

llama4114 02-11-2013 12:16 AM

I am not appliqueing, but I am using black between each flower

Rina 02-11-2013 01:33 AM

Goodness! A "little" something!? It is gorgeous!

plainpat 02-11-2013 03:07 AM

What an amazing quilt. With tiny pieces, you've already done a lot of work! This quilt will be a show stopper for sure.
How will it be quilted ? Hope you can enter it in a show or fair.

SueDor 02-11-2013 03:16 AM

Nice work! I agree with Spice that the background makes the flowers pop.

QM 02-11-2013 03:17 AM

Lovely work!

Pam Riggs 02-11-2013 08:41 AM

Love it! I made one for my daugther's 18th birthday ( a few yrs back). I handsewn each piece and then quilted it by hand. It took me about a year and a half to finish. She still cuddles with it and she is now 30. I think this type of quilt pattern just says "comfort".

gabeway 02-11-2013 01:06 PM

Looks fantastic! Great job!

That looks great! I like the black - Just my 2 cents. I am working on one too...but different. If I ever get it done...a picture will be coming up. Yours makes me want to start one like it...but I will finish the one started first.
