Awsome!! That is a lot of little pieces, I wonder how long it took the lady to do it. And 9 stitches per inch on the quilting, My goodness! It is beautiful.
Isn't it amazing I saw that and I was like wow you guys would all love to see that.
Beautiful quilt!
I don't understand the concept of pricing though, does anybody here? That seems like a lot of money for a quilt. Just my own opinion.  |
Wow
That's really pretty. She sure put alot of work into it
That is a bit pricey, isn't it. The time and work that went into it and since it is an "antique" commands the price I guess.

I like to know some of the history...like how long did it take do and is the lady blind now?...Isn't that just wonderful....and all hand quilted...my oh my!!
Amazing is the right word for it! Do you suppose it was a collaborative effort? I would think sewing/quilting together would have been a huge social custom for our grandparents and great grandparents.
All the stories I hear about life back then was work work work. Who has time to quilt/sew such fine intricate work? And I spent a lot of time on that site just looking at them. But, I'm so taken by the Indian trade blankets! Can you imagine trading a can of coffee and some sugar for a work of such skill and beauty as that? All those bold colors and symmetry. Amazing. |
