I finally put my scrapbooking stuff away for the winter and I am back to working on quilts. What do you think?

Log cabins never struck my fancy, always found them very boring, however seeing what so many talented people are doing with them has totally changed my opinion.

It is really hard to tell from the picture but the colors are mostly deep purples, greens, orange, and deep reds. I haven't learned how to scan my fabrics into EQ6 yet so I tried to match my colors the best I could with their fabric library.

Because the colors are so deep and rich I wanted to make the other side of the block a place where your eye could rest therefore it is all a neutral base of cream.

I think the log cabin is my favorite block because there are so many varities of it and all of the different designs you can make with one block.

I will be starting on it this weekend because once I start to quilt then there is no stopping me. I always make myself do my chores first because if it didn't nothing would get done around the house - anyone like me?
