He is going to love your creation...such cheerful colors. Wish you luck with your surgery and a fast recovery.

Just don't do too many wild things with your quilts while you're on the pain meds. I had both knees done last year in Jan and Feb. The second one was easy. Good luck from one who has been there.

Will definitely be remembering you tomorrow. My doctor has told me I need both knees replaced... I'm just putting it off as long as I can! But, I do know what knee pain is like. Hope this clears it up for you and you'll be back up and going soon. Let us hear from you when you can.

I just had both knees replaced on Sept 1 this year. I think I waited too long as I have not much strength in the muscles of my legs, since for the past several years I have simply gone from chair to chair. It hurt so to walk and stand. Now it does not hurt to walk, only the rising from a chair is difficult! I actually stood and cut out a whole quilt last night and trimed the edges on another this a.m. before a friend sewed on the binding (I hate that part, but like to hem the binding after it has been sewn on!). And today I sewed (for the first time since surgery) for 3 hours on a log cabin quilt, getting up to press after each 12 logs had been sewn on! I am soooooooo much better. Wish I had not waited so long! Hope you have yours done soon and that all goes well. :)

Love your quilt and the pinwheels in the corners. All the best with your knee surgery and wishing you a speedy recovery.

Totally awesome! What is the name of the pattern?
Good luck with your knee surgery. I know the hardest part is the recovery period. Time & Patience! Can't wait to see your New York Beauty! I made one also which is posted somewhere here.
Hugs

really, really, really like this one ! Is this easy to do? Looks like it involves lots of math/placements. Have a quick recovery too but rest as you should !!
