We go to the Rodeo in February and, even in Tucson, we freeze while sitting on the bleechers. We have a quilt we wrap up in, but the metal bleechers are KILLERS :)
Sooooooooo, I was inspired when I saw the Seat Pad K3N made for her mum and modified it for a Rodeo. Plus I did a little FMQ (still learning), and thought I'd put in 3 layers of batting. This coming February--we'll be toasty :) :) So, Thanks K3N for the inspirations. DH thanks you too :) :) Close Up of my FMQ Back Top |

What a great idea!!!! It is beautiful too!!! :D :D :D
|
Oooo, I can imagine those cold bleachers, BRRRR..
Looks great! |
Great idea!!! How about instead of 3 layers of batting, using that heat resistance stuff you use on potholders????????
|
Happy bum! Looks great and nice and cozy. You will be all set to go.
|
love your "tush-cush"! those stars are cute...and so sweet to share a seat
|
Great idea! Nice design and colors as well.
|
Thanks all. I appreciate the kind comments...just want you to know it was inspired by k3n from this board :)
I do think I'm going to add some sort of handle/straps...to keep it rolledup for carrying to and fro. Then we could also use this when we're out hiking...just add to bottom of our pack. |
That is great Sharon! Kudos to you...sounds like you took a thought and ran with it! I want one for baseball games!!
|
Very western looking.
My Grandma made seat warmers all the time - she must have been ahead of her time! (At the time we didn't much appreciate them. ) |
I think that is a nifty idea...
I may have to make some up for my nephews football games cuz them bleachers get cold on my rump. Kirsten |
Great idea! May your buns always be toasty!
|

I think I'm going to make a few for my daughters since they log in a lot of time at sport events. |
Awesome. Great idea using extra batting for a little cush. Since K3N inspired you here's to K3N--love it.
|
Great idea. What type batting did you use and did you machine quilt?
|
Thanks. I used 2 layers of warm and natural and I had a scrap of "puffy" polyester left over from some other project which I put in the middle.
I did machine quilt it since I'm learning and needed some practice :) :). It was tough putting on the binding because of that layers and one of the other folks on here suggested using the heat resistance batting--which may have been easier. |
That's looks great. Your FMQ looks great too. :D :D :D
