I got the pattern from pambonodesigns.com. They design all their own patterns. I simplified the pattern; the original pattern has a border with buildings in each corner and pinwheels all around. My niece would be retired before I ever got through that, plus her truck bunk is smaller than a single bed. I would advise buying the Angler along with the pattern. Set your machine up with this and you don't have to draw lines when sewing things like flying geese, etc. It is really handy on this pattern - each tire has 13 pieces and I didn't draw any angles on this pattern, just used the Angler. You'll take a deep breath when you see the cutting instructions and sewing instructions (some pieces are 1" square) but if you cut carefully and follow the instructions line by line you'll be amazed at how it goes together. Happy sewing!

I LOVE the truck quilt!! I drive and people (non drivers) think I am crazy to work so hard on a quilt-then put it in my truck--other truckers (some have seen me working on my quilts) want me to make one for them! My answer is always the same--"you drive a truck for a living, you can't afford it!"
Great job & remember its like a hug from home on a lonely night. |
Double wow!!!!

My son the trucker, would love to have a quilt like that for his 'Saphira', apparently SPanish for sapphire.
I especially love the comment about a hug from home at night. You did a great job. I need to check it out. Love the dog driver. |
Great job on both, but I love the frogs.
