Your kitty quilt is really cute and you did a great job on your FM quilting---I don't like doing it either. Mine isn't "perfect", so I am critical.

Great minds think alike! I did the same quilt, only without the red, for my sister, in honor of her cat Fred. I hand-quilted mine because I have not yet tried to do free motion quilting.

I really like the effect of the red! Wish I'd thought of it.

I think it was in the August issue of Quilter's World?? I have remodelled my laundry/sewing room and can't find anything!

It was a 2008 issue of whatever magazine. I made mine in Feb (finished it in May!). I'm pretty sure about the Aug. but not all that sure of the magazine.

I like both quilts. But ... Your idea of the red as a small insert and the ball really made this quilt. Very nice fabrics too.

I love your quilt too. I was at a friends house and I was looking through one of her quilt magazines, here was this pattern. It has sat here for a long while but this was the project for it.

Hang in on the Fm. I'm stilling learning myself. I have a problem of trying new designs. Can't seem to get from one motif to the other. I really would like to learn to be free and do my own thing.
