Where are they going? Very nice work.

No pattern. We did look on the internet. It is stuffed with High lost batting which is doubled in the shoulder to hip area. Inside and outside is rip stop nylon. I used Velcro from knee to head on the open side for the closure. Zippers are so expensive.

GA southern end of the Apalachian Trail. Hoping to make 20 miles in three days. My daughters, Kim, Jenny, son, Walt and 3 grandsons. I'm only sewing for Kim.

I bought 4 sleeping bags for the others. If I had known how easy they are to make I'd have made them all. My son already had one from his walk on the Danube last year.

Was the nylon slippery to sew on? I would love to make each of my grandsons (2) one.

Your's looks so professional and I love the green!!!!

No, I was very surprised that the nylon was not slippery to sew on. It was $6.99/yd at JoAnn's. I did find the high loft batting took up more room than I planned so we lost some length.
