I'm going to try showing a few things I have done. Remember now, I'm still a novice at these things. The Christmas Bow I made for my mother in law last year, and the Christmas Tree was for my mom. The Irish Chain is not finished yet, but someday hopefully will be for a granddaughter. It looks like blue and white, the blue is a small flower print. It has not got the backing done yet, and I hope to make a pillow sham to go with it. No big hurry since my one son doesn't have a steady girl yet, and the other isn't getting married until next spring. I hope someone lets me know if the pictures don't come through

All are beautiful, but I especially love the Christmas tree! You sure don't sew like a beginner!

Izy 07-11-2008 07:56 AM

I was just wondering how long you have been quilting, as your work looks pretty much perfect to me :D

I love the xmas tree with the little bows on it :D

What a great job! The tree is awesome!
GOOD GOING!! WOOHOO!!!

Joan 07-11-2008 10:20 AM

what inspiration for Christmas projects, they are all lovely! I love the "bow" wall hanging---wish their was enough time in the day to copy them all. I have a friend who is crazy about Christmas and it would just fit her decor.

p.s.--I've had difficulty loading pictures, too. I've attributed it to my dial-up connection. It seems to take forever. (and I've tried unsuccessfully to change my avatar photo--don't know how to size it....oh, well.....)

Moonpi 07-11-2008 10:49 AM

They are all great - the blue and white is a classic, always a favorite!

laparshall 07-11-2008 11:07 AM

My list of things to make continues to grow. The Irish chain has been on my list for awhile and yours is simply great. I really like the bow, I like the way you used the stipped fabric. Fun. You did a great job.

jbsstrawberry 07-11-2008 10:03 PM

Those are beautiful!!! How careful were you to get all the stripes running the same way in the bow!!! You do awesome work!!! The Irish chain is just gorgeous!!

Bevanger 07-12-2008 02:06 PM

Beautiful!! I made the bow as my very first project but I made it in purples for a doll quilt.

I always open my pictures in the PAINT program. Once there, you can right click and choose "stretch/skew". I reduce mine to at least 50% but usually all the way down to 25% (of the original) before trying to attach them on this message board. I also have dial-up, and it works so much faster this way. If the picture is a keeper, I make a copy of it first, so I still have my originals in good quality.

ButtercreamCakeArtist 07-16-2008 09:30 AM

tarib: I love your work! I don't know which is my favorite. Great job! Thanks for sharing!

Celeste 07-17-2008 02:38 AM
