butterflywing 09-23-2009 01:46 PM

the leaves were among the few of the pieced quilts there.

quite a show, yes? i wish you all have been there with me.

btw, on the black-background quilt, it WAS needleturn, and then machine stitched to look like veins and other features. it was not machine applique.

Man, there is some stunning work! Thank you for posting! :-)

Lisanne 09-23-2009 02:57 PM

Thanks for posting the pictures! That one with the leaves has the best colors, though many of them are colorful and wonderful.

I wish I'd been there. I intended to go but ... things happened and I completely forgot about the show.

Ninnie 09-23-2009 03:03 PM

they are all just breath taking!!!
Unbelievable, I love the red and white one.

Jamie 09-23-2009 03:10 PM

This was in King Of Prussia Pa? I know we had an quilt show in Oaks a few weeks ago that I missed, but I didn't know there was one in KOP

julia58 09-23-2009 03:19 PM

Thank you so much for taking your time to show us all this show, these are some of the most beautiful pieces I have ever saw at one show. I sure wish they all could come here, would love to see it myself. Thanks again

motomom 09-23-2009 03:24 PM

Beautiful, thank you so much for posting the pics.

sewjoyce 09-23-2009 03:46 PM

Wow -- (sigh) more beautiful quilts!! :D :D

The very first picture in this thread of the white quilt, it is tarpunto or whole cloth? (If you don't remember, that's OK) :D

Jim's Gem 09-23-2009 05:06 PM

Beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing

butterflywing 09-23-2009 07:00 PM

Jamie, you're right.

this was actually in oaks. but nobody ever heard of there, so i called it kop, which is right next door. but it was held just this past weekend, the 17th. was there another that i (gasp) missed?

blue,

you'll be interested in knowing that a large number of the quilts were from new zealand and australia.

it was whole cloth with what looked like a high-loft batting.

butterflywing 09-23-2009 07:10 PM

#838 reminds of chele. she would love those fabrics.

butterflywing 09-23-2009 07:16 PM

this post was a continuation from the king of prussia thread, so if i duplicated any, and i certainly did, sorry. i lost track.

earthwalker 09-23-2009 07:24 PM

if you meant the one in the first thread, also white, #747(?) that was trapunto, with whole cloth. was that the one you meant? on the king of prussia thread? without the #2?

reneebobby 09-24-2009 03:01 AM

Wow those were really pretty thanks. I loved the one wall hanging that wasn't square (only way to discribe it) very neat.

Jamie 09-24-2009 04:44 AM

I pass the place where it quilt show was held constantly, To be honest until I saw the sign I didn't even realize there was a place back there to have functions like that. I thought the show was the 12-14th, and I had doctor appointments for Morgan those days, had I realized it wasn't until the 17th, I would have been there, I was bumed out that I couldn't make it! I'm only 20 minutes up the road from there.
But i am glad you got to go, and took some amazing pictures..:) Thanks for sharing all of them.

pocoellie 09-24-2009 06:05 AM

Nope -- I meant the first picture on this thread -- King of Prussia Show, Part 2. :D

Thanks!
