I haven't made a quilt for my bed yet because it's a king size. But I finally decided I would design and piece a top and maybe I can persuade hubby to let me send it out to be quilted. I designed this top with my EQ6 and I just ordered the fabric for it. The fabric line is "Farm House Retreat" by Andover Fabrics. I ordered from my favorite online store: The Fat Quarter Shop....
http://www.fatquartershop.com/index....93211937279809 The finished quilt will be 112" X 112". I'm excited to get my fabric and start working on it. |
It will be a beautiful quilt!

This is going to be gorgeous, Abundant Feathers for the quilting!

I love the layout design of your log cabin quilt, how it's just a bit different from the usual layouts you see for this pattern - it will be beautiful! :D
|

I have a king size bed also and keep thinking I'll make one for our bed but I haven't decided on a pattern. I love this log cabin design! It'll be beautiful :) Be sure to show us the finished quilt.

That is a beautiful quilt. Cant wait to see it done!
|
that will be a big quilt -- I like mine to hang down almost to the floor on the sides and turn down a little on the top -- I am almost afraid to measure them -- I think of them as 6 big blocks wide and 4 or 5 long -- your quilt will be beautiful
|
Very nice! I love the red.
|
WOW ! And I mean WOW ! Beautiful
|
I am also doing a king size. I think Barn Raising is what the layout is called. It's going to be a beauty!
|
This is just gorgeous! How big are your blocks? This will be a huge job--just take your time and enjoy the process (while saving your pennies to have it longarmed within an inch of its life!) Please keep us posted!
|
That will be gorgeous...can't wait to see when you get it done.
Love the red and beige colors! |

I've finished half of the blocks! 32 done....32 to go. This is a BIG quilt! It's going to need its own postal code when I'm done. :-D
I couldn't fit it all in the frame. A closer look Draped on my frame |
Thanks for sharing this pic. I have 64 log cabin blocks all done but have been wondering how to lay it out. Mine is a scrappy log cabin but has the light and dark side. I like your lay-out. Hope you don't mind if I copy it! Now maybe I will get it done since I see this nice lay-out!
