Great job, I appreciate the challenges this presented when quilting it on your regular machine!

Thank you for the nice comments! It wasn't all that difficult to do the piecing. I bought the book Make a Quilt in a day: Log Cabin Pattern by Eleanor Burns so and that really made the piecing very easy. I literally worked on it after work every single day from anywhere to an hour to 6 hours to get in done in time for Christmas. The quilting was quite a challenge. I set up 2 6ft folding tables in my living room to pin and quilt it. This was before we moved into our house and I had a sewing area. My kids thought it was quite a sight watching me do that one. It took me 3 days non-stop to do, sewing for 12+ hours each day, which I did on my days off of work. I quilted it on diagonals.

So glad you gave these details. You answered all the questions I was wondering about.

It's a great quilt and I commend you on completing it in one month. Bravo. Log cabin quilts can have so many different layouts, the possibilities are almost endless, but I like the star in the center version that you did.
