We are repainting out kitchen and I love roosters! I was trying to think of items to sew for the kitchen and this is what I've done so far. I still need to do placemats and hotpads, but other than that, I'm not sure what else I can do. Does anyone know of a rooster wall hanging pattern? Preferably a free one that I can download as $ is really tight right now.
Thanks for looking! the "set" kitchen towel and potholders table runner |
Those potholders are super cool! How did you make them?

Here is a link.

a pattern from "Vanilla House Designs" They are called "Pot Pinchers" from LQS. Not too hard, I have big hands so I made them larger than the pattern. Haven't used them yet, so I don't know how well they're work.

You could applique a rooster on the corners of your dish towels and wash/dish cloths. (That is a bit extreme)
You could make seat covers/pads for your chairs. You could make covers for your toaster and your coffee maker and your mixer. (My personal feelings about appliances that need covers - if they are going to be unused long enough to get dusty, they should be put away somewhere - but that's just me) If you have to leave your vacuum cleaner out, I've seen a couple of "covers" for them that were in the shape of a doll. |

I love "Vanilla House Designs". I just won a red ribbon (2nd place) in a FCE mini conference competition displaying an apron.
