This was just something random that I created based on what Brian wanted his quilt to look like. He is really into koi so he was involved with picking out the fabrics he wanted in quilt. |

Lovely, I have the feeling of actually looking down at a koi filled pond. I really like that and the quilting is out of this world or over the pond!!! :)

The water was machine pieced hexagons since the fabric had a striped pattern in, the fish, lilies and flowers were hand appliqued, then it was machine quilted and last but not least the dragonflies were hand quilted/embroidered in the quilt. It was made for my ex brother-in-law, while fun to work on ... I am ready to work on something else. It has been entered in the county (July 8-13) and the state fair (Aug 2-13). Can't wait to see how those turn out. :) Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. I appreciate it. |
