Hello!
How are everyone? I hope that very well! Today I share photos of a new work. I make it with the technique of EPP. The original design is by a Quilter German called Grit. She lives in Lower Saxony. And since I discovered your blog, I just admire it every day! Her blog: Grit's Life (http://gritslife1.blogspot.com) There very generously and free she sharing your design with whoever wants to sew hexagons beside she. The design is called: "The passion", is beautiful and amazing! I invite all to visit and admire her beautiful work! I share some pictures of my progress, I hope you are to your liking and thank you very much for looking! A big hug! |
Beautiful! You are doing a great job on this, just like you do on all that you have shown us here. Keep up the good work!

Hi Gladys, I love working with hexi's too and have only recently discovered Grit's Life through a friend. What a gorgeous site it is! I wish I could read German. I am not very computer literate and don't know how to translate it to English. Need to get help from my friend on this.
May I say how much I enjoyed viewing your work too and I hope to see much more of it here. I am so inspired, I am off now to cut some more little hexi's and get a'stitchin. |
Your work is beautiful!!!!
|
Your sense of color placement is fantastic and your handwork is exquisite. Keep the pics coming, we love you for sharing them with us. Happy holidays to you.
|
I love your hexi's. Thanks so much for sharing the inspiration blog. I will check it out.
|
Beautiful work so far! I love the pattern and I think that the colors and fabrics you're choosing are just lovely. I especially like the central flower and how the vines and smaller flowers just bloom outward.
|
Absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to see it finished. You have so much patience. I will visit the site you shared. Thank you for sharing.

Did any of you go to Grit and look at her stuff? Those little miniature quilts, the hexigans are only 4mm long!!! The fabric piece is only big enough to take about 2 stitches per side!!
|
they are very nice
and look very small |
Hello Gladys,
Once again you have posted very interesting information. I will go have a look at her blog. You say in your profile that you don't speak English so I hope the translator works well enough that you can understand us. I go to a blog of a French lady and use a translator which allows me to understand most of what she says. Your work as usual is beautiful. |
As alway Gladys your work is simply stunning! Great job :)
|
gladys, what a great job you are doing on this one. but, then, you always do :)
|
Beautiful.. precise piecing. Love your colors!
|
Absolutely gorgeous!!! Your work is always perfect.
|
I have done hexes...gfg...but, not that small...I don't have that kind of patience...but applaud those of you who do.
|
Very pretty! The colors are so cheerful. Must take a long time to fit the hexagons together evenly. Way beyond what I could do I'm sure.
|
Beautiful job and thank you for sharing
Have a Blessed day Ellen |

hexagons
I have a quilt similar to this that was made by my late mother in the l960's. It is called Granmother's Flower Garden, and is set together with green hexes. Totally hand pieced and hand quilted!
Yours is beautiful!! Kathy from Texas, USA

Hello, Mary B! Thank you very much! Yes, I do not speak English or German. The I read and write them through the translator. I know that there must be many mistakes and always apologize for that. But I have my particular browser Chrome to always translate everything that is not Spanish, which is my native language.
