The pattern comes from a book from Willyne Hammerstein called "Millefiori Quilts". However, the book is a bit pricy and I didn't buy it but am working after pictures I found online.

Each time you add on, it's more gorgeous! I'm not sure how I'd finish it off. I guess I'd be tempted to just stitch it down to a background piece. I personally don't think you should cut off the points on the edges.

it's beautiful, i'd applique them not cut any off. you don't want to throw away any of that hard work.
