Labor of Love finished!

Hello fellow quilters! This is the quilt I posted about in Main. I thank you for all your advice especially about tying. That was going to be my last resort. I know what a back braking job tying is for me and I’m so happy I had the right needles for my Manuel long arm to quilt this double knit/leisure suit fabric. I was able to meander through although I almost ran over my finger more than once trying to stitch across the double knit seams. My foot wanted to hang some of the seams and stretch the knit. When it did go over that’s when I’d nearly get my finger under. It’s done and labeled. Hal A Lou Yer!
I might have a few bubbled ups at the seams or where she pieced a square but like my grandson said it’s for him, not a show quilt. Great grandma Mary had pinched seams and squares that didn’t match up so I guess my quilting wasn’t so bad after all-lol |
I didn’t see the other posting but am loving the results! Beautifully done.

Well done. I’m sure this will be cherished for a long time. A work of the heart means so much

"Hal A Lou Yer!" a la Madea? Love those movies and Tyler Perry.
Your quilting is wonderful. Your grandson is going to love this! |
Toogie...you are fast becoming my favorite board member to read....always interesting how many quilts you seem to accomplish. Plus a good sense of humor. I never would have attempted quilting a polyester quilt as you did, your quilting is so close together and looke wonderful. Your grandson had better give you a great Christmas present, although a big hug and kiss might be better.

You did a great job with the challenge of thick polyester and it will be loved. Can't ask more than that.

Looking on the back, that is a lot of quilting. I like how you put the squares on point. Great job!
