Labyrinth Walk...added border
1 Attachment(s)
Hubby wanted the original finished top to be larger so that it would drape over the sides of the bed....so...I added an additional black border to increase the size and then pieced the twisted ribbon block using the Deb Tucker Trimmer ( a time-saver!). Off to the quilter!

Interesting combination! I like it!

Looks lovely. I have that quilt on my bucket list and I'll have to remember that border. Great job!

Beautiful border also.

Your border really adds so much to the quilt...great decision.
|
What particular Deb Tucker Trimmer did you use?

Will be anxious to see it quilted. I think the border addition is really interesting. I hope that your finish picture for us shows it on the bed so we can get the full perspective.
|
Nice finish for your beautiful project!
|
Excellent way to make it larger

I will post! My quilter has it now... |
Very pretty quilt and how creative of you to add another border to increase the size. Especially love the ribbon border.

It looks very nice. As others said, I can’t wait to see it on the bed. Interestingly, I just made this border for the first time myself.
|
Very nice quilt and border is outstanding. Love the ribbon design.
|
Marvelous! Please post the finished quilt when it returns to you.:p

Is there another black border after the ribbon border? I want to enlarge mine also.

Thank you! It looks intimidating....I stared at the cutting chart for a year and a half...avoided it..frankly...LOL! Buy a box of cheap zip baggies and mark with a Sharpie each bag with the size cut . Separate baggies for each color/cut. I piled each color in a separate shoe box. Organizing each cut is key to getting this project done. Actually took 3 weekends (cut one weekend....sewed each block over two weekends...only two blocks in this project) to complete the original top as written. Only after I was “done” with the top...DH wanted it enlarged..... brainstormed about the extra “border”....I slept on options for a while then...bingo! We are very happy with the final project. |
