The round ones are added right on top. I left about 1/4 or more around the outside of it and cut the edges so they can fray. After it was washed, it frayed up beautifully.

Hmmmmmmmmmm... which is cuter... the quilt, the little guy or the quilt inspector? LOL! They're all darling! This quilt really is beautiful... I love the fabrics! The white really makes them snap. This is just great... & evidently the mammals in your life think so, too... LOL!

I don't know the name of the pattern any more. I did buy some templates that I used for this. I think they are 10" blocks, but I no longer have the quilt or the templates so I can't be for sure. :)
