What a great idea and the fact they are the same size is such a plus..I, too, save plastic containers, but they aren't always so neat and stackable...when you need to put them away it's nice and compact..

I have a few of the clear ones from deli meats with lids. put back couple of the black since DH is painting and he likes to use them for the short paint rollers. These containers stack well inside each other and fit in project boxes.

Thanks for re-posting. I don't think I had found this board yet in 2011. Love your ideas. I repurpose mine for leftovers but love your idea. We have had many dogs in the past who "helped" prepare for the dishwasher, so brought back many fond memories. I won't share with our current pups, as they don't get any table food : (

What a great idea!! I used those plastic small lidded ones to hold the different size squares but yours just so much more appealing!

Great idea! I hate throwing away something like these but it seems I always do. Then later on I wished I would of kept them.

When I was doing a lot of scrap booking I picked up stacks of little plastic woven look trays from the dollar stores. They were small and came three to a pack and would nest into each other. When quilting took over the room I kept tripping over these and put them to working doing the same thing. I also use them to house my leader and enders I keep my current projects in them next to the sewing machine. Right now I am doing a single irish chain and have strips sets cut up and in several of them. When I am done I just stack them and put them away. Keeps everything neat and tidy. This is a great Idea I will try and remember to up cycle these when I get food like that.

I really enjoy seeing how folks on the board figure out how to reuse, repurpose throwaway items. We throw away entirely too much reusable stuff in this society. Won't archeologists have a blast in the future trying to figure out what some things were used for?

I use the shallow long boxes that cinnamon rolls and Danishes come it. :)
