Thanks, that was the first one I did-the one that "hooked" me! After making a few Bow Tucks, I ventured into trying others. The blue and brown is a huge week-end tote called Sweet Retreat Weekend Bag by Whistlepig Creek Productions and is 22" x 15" x 8" and the main bag part is all one piece! Also, it is all bound with bias binding I had to make-ALOT of work in this one!!

You really are busy. Wish I could get into gear enough to get something made. I'm gonna have to get off of here to do it , I think.

Your bags are so pretty! I don't know how you get so many made. Do you make them to sell, or for gifting?

Tweety2911 01-24-2012 12:27 PM

You have wonderful taste in fabric combinations! Beautiful bags!

I gave 8 away for Xmas/birthday presents, and am making the rest to sell at a local craft/weekend market. Never did anything like that, but I need to earn some money to pay for the fabrics I can't seem to stop buying!!

lfstamper 01-24-2012 12:44 PM

Good luck in the sale. They are beautiful bags.

ruthie 01-24-2012 01:58 PM

Very pretty. I especially like the color combination of the brown and turquoise and those penguins are just adorable.

Love them all. Can you give us an approximate idea of what you sell them for at a craft fair.

noahscats7 01-24-2012 04:41 PM

You really need to try a grommet purse as a different pattern. PM me if you need info. It is so easy and full of pockets. It's my go to one. I usually get my grommets at hobby lobby with the 40% off coupon. You have done a great job on the ones you've done. glenda

I sort of thought about $40.00-don't know if that is too much or not enough. I'll have to research a bit more! The two I did sell (actually, 2 plus a book tote) were $40.00 each.

JudyLynn 01-24-2012 06:41 PM

Love them all. Maybe I will get brave enough to tackle one myself. Keep em coming.

Don't know what an X bag is-the yellow/pink daisy is "Jennifer's Bag" by Sewphisti-Cat. It is sort of a Hobo bag-but with inside pockets and outside pockets.

wraez 01-24-2012 07:01 PM

OMG you have really been busy / addicted to making these and they are all absolutely wonderful!

What gorgeous bags do you sell them?????

JuneBillie 01-25-2012 01:22 AM

You made so many beautiful bags. The bow tuck is my favorite, but I just love the bow tucks in general, but they all are gorgeous, and I love also the 1st and 3rd bag. Keep up the good work. There is just something about making these bags that are so special.

SandScraps 01-25-2012 04:20 AM

Hi-thanks-I do sell them, $40.00-but I don't have an on-line site to sell - I just sell by word of mouth and plan to set up a table at a local craft fair/weekend market in my neighborhood. I have only just started making them in the past 2 months, and hopefully, in a few weeks, find a craft sale I can try.
