That is a nice gift. I remember my brothers bringing girlfriends to Christmas with the family. My grandmother always kept extra copies of her Church cookbook. Extra person shows up, no problem, they get a wrapped cookbook, male or female. She said the pies and some side dishes she had for the meal were her recipes that were in the book.
