Janstar 10-19-2008 08:59 PM

Thanks everyone. It was very difficult but that's what makes us better quilters. Iv'e never done a pattern that used 15/16ths before and I hope I never see it again! Or mitered corners!!! But I survived!!!!!!!!!! To quilt again!!!!!!!!!!! Ha Ha

Wow! Love it. Alot of hard work. And you have a great eye for detail. A Blue ribbon for sure.

fabricluvr 10-20-2008 05:59 AM

that is gorgeous! i do a couple of blocks-a-month each year. would like to have it in my bag of tricks to use with one. would love access to the pattern if you can share the name/where you got it. did you design it yourself ?

Marcia 10-20-2008 07:04 AM

That is just spectacular!! I love your layout, too.

annmarie 10-20-2008 11:40 AM

You should be very, very, very PROUD of yourself. Not many experienced quilters would even tackle something like that. Just gorgeous & we can all appreciate the time & effort spent making it. Good luck - you deserve a blue ribbon!!!

Craftybug 10-20-2008 02:29 PM

Truly a winner

fabricluvr, It's called Pieceful Nights by Lori Smith. A sampler pattern. Our teacher modified it somewhat and I don't know what she did. Sorry. Don't get discouraged, if I can muddle through you can.

Jim's Gem 10-20-2008 02:44 PM

That is gorgeous............Definitly BLUE RIBBON

Grandma Cindy 10-21-2008 08:11 AM

your colors and the lay out is so pretty. It also inspires me to try putting my BOM's on point. I am only on Octobers block. I was just going to do sashings and a couple of borders, etc. I wonder how much more fabric I would have to buy to put them on point and how. Oh well a good idea but............. I will look at the quilt shop to see if my line of fabric has anymore of it in the sale corner. Yesterday though I saw a woman with a bolt of it in under her arm to buy some.. so much for rambling , your quilt should make you very proud....

GailG 10-21-2008 07:47 PM

That's a blue ribbon !! I would not have know where to begin with all that detail.

Margie 10-24-2008 07:43 PM

OH MY GOODNESS. that is simply beautiful. What a wonderful job. I just love seeing what everyone makes. I may never post any of my pitiful work on here. I sure wish I could sew like the rest of you.

GMA 10-24-2008 08:15 PM

Janstar 10-25-2008 02:58 PM
