Here's my latest quilt top - all cut on the bias with bias seams....wow, what an undertaking!! Now, on to the charity safari quilt for my gf's silent auction to raise money for her mission trip to Africa!

Great quilt! I've done borders like this but never a whole quilt. Love the colors. Thanks for sharing.

That is one gorgeous piece of work !! How in the world did you get such nice seams? -- no stretchy-stretchy. [It reminds me of spiralling. Have you ever done that? It's done with pieces cut on the straight or crossgrain then stitched in such a way that the piece ends up on the bias.]
I love your choice of colors. Black, white, and red is a timeless combination.lol

It stretched and I just steamed the crap out of it to get it back! This was done with straight grain cutting, then all the pieces were sewn together over hanging by about 2 inches, and then those edges were cut off at the 45 degree angle. Then the edges were sewn together into a "tube" and the final strips cut from that, then re-sewn back together again, I had to stick a pin trough each seam to match them up! It was a bear but fun!

LOL - the first time I"ve worked with anything cut on the bias, and I think it will be a while before I do it again!

Well, Mama, I think that sounds like spiralling. I just love to do that. I made the cutest Christmas stockings with that technique a few years ago. Used bright Christmas colors, etc. Wish I could send pics.
