Thanks for all your nice comments on my quilt. My MIL does love it. She just holds it up to her chest like she treasures it. She wouldn't wear a coat to leave the hospital, but wrapped up in her quilt. The fabric is "Sunshine Bouquet", by Wilmington Prints. I bought it at my LQS from their sale shelf for $4 a yard! There is also an awesome border print that goes with it. I bought some of that fabric too, but it would have made the quilt too large for her to handle. I'm thinking about buying more yardage to make a bed quilt for myself. The border print would make a nice mitered border. I think blue and yellow quilts are my favorites. Thanks again for the comments.

Voice of experience here. I, too, am saying PUT HER NAME ON IT. Things in the nursing homes "get lost" too easily. Also, nursing home laundry is hard on things so, if you live nearby, you may want the staff to know you will launder this quilt when it needs to be done. I swear everything in most of those facilities gets washed on hot with bleach!

Great quilt, love the floral fabric. Using fleece on the back is a great idea as many times the nursing home can be cold, and this should keep your MIL warm.

I know she will love it, very pretty.

Better wash it yourself. They'll put it in the hottest water and dryer you can imagine. I know. We've been there.
