Have at last finished this one. Started it on a week end get together with our quilting group which was great fun. stopped started and at last here it is.

Tried a free motion on this without success so this one is just outline sewing. It also has a few sworskoski Crystals added to it

I think the correct name is called borderie perse, but fussy cutting is what I call it

Thanks Melissa and Jackie, It was fun, but it did seem to take a long time for what it is. I had to kill it, it was getting on my nerves just sat there.

Thank you all for your lovely comments, sometimes when your working on a project for a long while you kind of lose a bit of feeling for it. Don´t know if that is how it affects you. So when it is eventually finished and you get such lovely comments you feel made up. Thanks ya´ll

How big, well let me go and measure it for you. 34 1/2" x 30".

The Group teacher for that day had a book for us to choose our project from. I can find the name of the book. There were some really pretty wall hangings. Izy is in my Group and she made one for her Mum perhaps you have seen it there was a picture on here a couple of days ago.

K9, No didn´t make for anyone special this time, think its going to end up in the top bedroom (we have 3 floors).

Moonpi, Funny I didn´t notice the art noveau look of it till you mentioned it. Well spotted.

Gcathie, it wasn´t hard to cut out, there were excellent patterns in this book it was cut out and placed on the material over a weekend. But getting round to doing the rest seemed to take forever.

Thank you evryone for your lovely comments they are so much appreciated. :D :D Elle

Elle. That is just beautiful. Lots of work, but wonderful rewards. I do believe that is what quilting is all about.
