Latest PLQ...foxes
3 Attachment(s)
Here is my latest Project Linus Quilt...little orange foxes! It's larger than the majority of my PLQ measuring in at 48" x 63". I had more problems with my brain while making this one....easy pattern of course, but my brain wasn't working for a couple of days. Anything that I could do wrong I did. Thank heavens for a sharp ripper! Also tried a blind hem stitch to machine sew the binding to the front...it's faster, but I'm not a big fan of it. Live and learn huh? Now to clean my sewing room today so I can start another one tomorrow....

Love the foxes - and the blue fabric is great with their glasses. Is there a pattern for this?

Th fox print is adorable and fun. You did a great job choosing the accent fabrics to highlight the foxes.
What a fun PL donation. |
those foxes are adorable.
|
Well done. I have some of that fox fabric...I might steal your design! lol.

What fun! I have a piece of that fox fabric on my ironing board right now, was going to cut off a piece for the juvenile top I'm working on... then I realized they are wearing glasses and I've been thinking about a quilt for my eye doctor and I'm thinking I should save enough of it for that.
Haven't really even gotten to the planning stages but my doc wears funky bow ties so I was going to make a funky bow tie quilt, probably the 3D variation. Should go look and make sure I keep a piece large enough. It's so funny how these coincidences work, I mean, I just washed that piece of fabric yesterday! |
Great quilt, and adorable fabric! It will be a comfort to some child. So generous of you.

Is this the nine patch that you trim off strips from the four sides and rotate with just a bit of trimming on the longest two strips? Turned out great!
|
