Last fall I made seven wall hangings for a couple - one each for her five sons and his two daughters. I kept the leftovers planning to make a sampler quilt and give it to the couple. There was very little left from some wall hangings and lots left from others so that plan went out the window. Here is the final result with fabrics that just didn't go together. The green and blue from two of the wall hangings and the tan for sashing from another did the trick of pulling it together. I'm still going to give it to the couple and hope they have good thoughts of their grown children as they snuggle under it.
