What size did you cut your 9 patches? I am thinking 2 1/2 inches. Did you just do a plain square in between the 9 patches and the braids? Thank you so much.

I found a pattern on Quilters Cache and it said to cut the strips 2 1/2 by 7 1/2. Than would I cut each strip down to 6 1/2?

What a wonderful idea. I made everyone in my family a quilt in the colors they wanted. I have 4 sisters & 2 brothers and I also made quilts for their children. Still have a stash, it doesn't seem to go down, lol.
