It's not very difficult. Just sewing a bunch of different width strips together. Getting the seams to line up is the hardest part. But only slightly more difficult than a 9-patch block. And I didn't use a single pin to piece it together.

EQ5 is where I found the pattern for it.

Not a single pin???? How do you do it?? I always have to pin my corners to get them lined up. I wiggle them together and then pin.

I learned it from watching Eleanor Burns. She hates to pin, too. You just have to press the seams, so they are opposite each other, then hold them together when sewing. It's easy to do, but much more difficult to explain.
