The moto here is if you want it washed in the next week carry down the laundry basket. If you want it washed in a few days make sure tomention it to Mom. If you are out learn to turn the underwear inside out or go without. Just kidding- it's 'Mom, I' out of socks and underwear'. " You know where the laundry is if it is clean and not in you drawer. If it's not waiting in a laundry basket for you to carry up, then check under your bed."
