Learning to do Embroidery on my machine
2 Attachment(s)
I have finally learned how to do some embroidery on my machine. I thought I would share a couple pictures of new items I have made. The first is on a wire stand in my home; the second is on my office door at work.

Those are great. What machine do you have?
|

I had my machine for about three years before I was able to use the embroidery part of it. It wasn't the machine I was having trouble with, it was understanding the software. Last fall a shop helped me understand the software, not the shop I bought it from, and I have been using it a lot now. My husband said it is a good thing we have lots of quilts because I will probably stop making quilts. I think the trick is finding a shop that really knows the machines and software. I wish I had learned the fundamentals sooner. |
they look great, and in plenty of time, too

Before long you will be making quilts that you use the embroidery designs in. Have fun.

Mine came with the 4D. Someone told me there is not that much difference in 4D and 5D for the money. But I don't really know about that. I'm pretty sure I can edit with mine. There is still so much to learn, but I am having a blast playing with it. I did do one quilt that I did embroidery on the snowball blocks. Turned out nice.

I have a Janome 11000SE and am still learning the software(the digitizer). I think I have it and can do it but forget if I don't use the digitizer all the time. I can do the simple designs. Did the St. Pats designs come with your machine or did you buy it? They are really cute.

Good for you---learning to use my embroidery stuff was big for me too. I don't do much with a computer except the usual emails, Forum boards, etc.
Machine embroidery is really fun--I just don't have enough to spend doing it. Don't stop now---keep right on going. Looks Great Chris |
You will love embroidery. I feel in love with it right after I got my machine. Love making quilts with embroidery blocks. Keep learning and you will have so much fun. Great embroidery

I have 2 embroidery machines a Brother ult 2002 and brother 4000d love them both very user friendly.

Very nice. When I was learning how to use my embroidery machine, I made Jenny Haskins Heritage quilt. With the help of my sewing sisters, the quilt is finished. Enjoy!

Love your embroidery designs. Glad you posted them. I have been doing embroidery for almost 12 years and I love it. I have Brother machines and software. Made lots of things for the granddaughters when they were younger - people would ask my DIL if they were wearing Kelly Kids and she told them, no her MIL made them - I did the sewing and embroidery. Quite a compliment!
