Leftover Pie

I had pieces left over from this drunkard's path table runner https://www.quiltingboard.com/pictur...s-t302450.html

I hated to throw them away, so put them in what John Kubiniek calls a 'contemporary' quilt. I named it Leftover Pie. To keep the look, I'd like to birth the quilt instead of having a binding as I don't have any more of the red. I'm nervous about quilting it without getting folds in the backing.

How intriguing. Good use of scraps and left over pieces. Nice quilt.

Cute top! If you plan on birthing, just leave the last outside sashing unquilted to hide any extra fabric. If you have any of the blue fabric, that would look fine as binding.

Very cute. I'll take pie any way I can get it! ;-)

How creative and thrifty... the blues pop nicely against the red. Good job!

I thought it looks like an old fashioned paper fan. I like the colors and orientation of the images.

Perfect pattern for Pie Day. Yes, yesterday, January 23 was one of those silly or wonderful, you chose, unofficial national holidays. Your pie had fewer calories but my guess it was a little short on flavor! Nice way to use All of your scraps.
