Lemon Squeezy QAYG - my version for DGS
3 Attachment(s)
This is my version of Lemon Squeezy, McCall's Quilter's Workshop, Autumn 2011. This is for my oldest DGS, using batiks. My first experience with them and OMG! I love them. The center is QAYG so it went very quickly but I needed to add a border for length and width. Not so quick. I determined how much I needed, added the front and back border individually and then inserted the batting. Then prayed real hard it would all come together - well almost. I love the center and read somewhere when you have one "sour" fabric in the mix they will work, boy is that so true. Quilt completed in 2 weeks working full time.

Beautiful. Ok I give, what is a sour fabric? No batik can possibly ever be sour

I'm just gettig started and like the quilt as you go technique. I'm working on a QAYG Log cabin now with Delectible Mountains border. We'll see how it goes. Have a safe and peaceful Thanksgiving.

What a Lucky DGS to recieve your beautiful quilt. I can hardly believe that it took you such a short time to make it. I bet it really feels good getting it done. Keep up the good work!!
