Dear all,
I made this one Sunday afternoon a few weeks ago. I was hoping for a snow day. no luck.
I cut out the snow flakes and the sashing with my die cut machine--it was so easy!
I think winter is over for us in Central Virginia. Oh well, there is always next year!

Now you can have a 'snow day' whenever you want one. Cute!

I saw that out the window this morning- we're wondering if spring will ever get here.

I do love this though- my office has no windows!

Nice quilt I'll be glad to send all the snow your way since I'm tired of it.

That is so cute. I think that you are right about winter over in Va for I live south of Richmond. Maybe next year.

Cute quilt. That would be the only snow day that I would ever see.

Now you have a nice snowy window to cool you off during those hot summer days. :D

As my DH would say, " To cute for cuteness!!" :D I just love it & it's something you can enjoy any time you want to get it out.

I would gladly send some snow down your way. It just keeps on a coming up here in Vermont.

I say, let spring arrive soon! DH says only 6 more weeks, and then some.

It will melt by June, if we are lucky.

Cute quilt.

I don't think you missed winter after all, Rose. If the weathermen are right this time, you'll be able to see the real thing out your window. We already have over an inch on the ground here in Fredericksburg, and the deep stuff is due tonight. That's a very creative little quilt. I love the snow flakes.

Don't look now........but if you are in central Virginia.......it's snowing and you may be getting quite a bit depending on where you are.....I'm at the beach and keeping my fingers crossed ..........LOL.....I love snow!!!!!!!

Mountainquilter 03-01-2009 05:23 PM

I'm so glad we are sharing with you in the southern states. I talked with uncle in Virginia, just south of DC and he said they are expecting 8-10 inches.

That's more than we will be getting here in VT.

Enjoy, it will not last long.

Rose Hall 03-02-2009 06:32 AM

WOOOHOOO!!!!!

we have 10 inches and I FINALLY got a snow day!!!! wooohooo!!!

going out to enjoy it with my 2 year old right now--he calls it "NO" instead of snow.

wooohoooo!!!! can't wait can't wait.

That's so clever for snow all year long! Would be great here in coastal SC! BTW, where did you get the brown, wood pattern brown fabric. Do you know the name of it? I have been looking for a "wood" fabric. Thanks!

I have several different wood look fabrics...if you do a search for landscape and or wood grain fabrics, will bring up several different places to buy it...here is a link to several on Ebay:
