I would have been a nervous wreck cutting up the original top. How much did the quilt shrink from its original size?

Oh how lovely! I also have the tool and haven't used it yet. Thanks for the reminder :)

Your quilt is awesome!! The colors are so striking that both ways were pretty, but the twister sure takes the quilt to a new level. Great job!

I have several sizes of the twister....they are fun...I think they shrink at least 1/3 in size if I remember correctly. I do think they are fun....when I made the bedsized one with the largest template, I did it at the local quilt shop so I could pushe the tables in the classroom toether as the top was pretty big before I cut it....the smaller sizes are fun...but kind of putzy....and I had to use the smaller sized router cutter on them.....the woman who invented the technique lived near me and I visite that little shop often...it has closed now...I miss it...

i didn't measure it before, but it was a 7x7 block (5 inch squares) with a three inch black border (don't forget the 1/4 inch seam when you are calculating LOL)

finished it was 23x23

Great colors. You did a fantastic job. I've had the template for longer than I care to say and maybe one day I'll even use it. If I make a quilt 1/2 as good as yours, I'll consider it a success.
