I tried to post on Fri. but failed to get the picture on. Trying again...
I was inspired by Shadow dancer and her braided border a few months ago and wanted to try it so I did it on "a little one"!! It was made from scraps that were sent to me by my daughter in Ind. with a pattern that I had admired. Worked it up with this variation using my first attempt at pinwheels. Delivered it to my other daughter in NC and she loved it!!
It was a good lesson on pinwheels reminding me that sizing them correctly is necessary!!

Can someone help me with posting pictures? Followed the directions but have not had any success--know it must be easy!!!

Re posting pictures

Click on post reply if you are replying to someone. Then click attach files - then the computer should ask where your files are. It says browse on my computer and I just find my pic and click on open. then click on submit. You must do this before you try to preview. This works for me.

Hope this works for you.

Great job, it is beautiful and I love the braided border. It just sets it off.

huckleberry 09-04-2008 04:40 AM

Thanks for your kind comments - I made a braid to test the construction and size using 2 1/2" by 6" scraps. That was way too big for what I wanted so used a 1 1/2 by 4, I think!!!! Don't even have any scraps of is as I used what was left on a strip across the back to add interest! The little quilt was sent on to my daughter so don't have it to check!
Happy quilting!
