Just a quick little project using a FQ set of Harvest Home from Connecting Threads. I used an EQ6 layout and added the leaf motifs. It's 50" x 60" as it is right now, a lap quilt for my family room. I am cutting all the rest of the fabric into 3" strips to see if I have enough to do a piano key border.
I want to use a flannel backing so it is very cuddly for the couch. |
Pam, that's awesome!!! Love it.

I had enough fabric to do the border and I only have 1 1/2 FQs and scraps left. Maybe I'll make a couple of throw pillows out of it.
It was a quickie to make, two evenings after work, a little this morning to sew on the last row and then this evening to do the border. It's all based on 5 1/2 and 10 1/2 pieces (unfinished block and strip sizes) and I made the border 3" wide pieces (2 1/2" finished) so that it lined up with the 5" increments all around the quilt. |
Looks cozy Pam!
I like it!!! :D
What a great fall quilt!!! Love It :D :D :D
I like it, too! And the border looks great. Very cozy!
Very nice, Pam. Glad to see you're back in your sewing room. :D

That's a cocoa sippin, cuddlin quilt if ever I saw one!! It's just perfect!
very pretty
I LOVE this!
It's beautiful. You did an awesome job. :) |
Thank you all. :D I can't wait to get it on my couch so I think I am going to tie this one. I found the perfect flannel for the backing at Thousands Of Bolts. It's green that looks like it will match the greens in the quilt and it has acorns on it!
I tried many times to get the picture to show the colors correctly but it just wouldn't. The green looks a little blue in the pics but it's more of a grayish green. |
I love your quilt. I don't have EQ and I am trying to decide on how to make a King size quilt using Amish colors. This would be a good pattern if it were King size.
Love you quilt Pam, you did yet another fab job - I love CT too. :D
I am thinking of making a throw type quilt for the lounge too in some nice flannel Autumn colours, something nice & warming LOL. I know that flannel you mean on TofB, I've been looking there too for fabric for the backing on last yrs IRR that has just arrived back home here with me. BTW - great to have you back - where have you been???? Tisha |
Beautiful quilt Pam.
Autumn is my favorite time of year, the wonder of the coming holidays!! Great job on your quilt!
great fabrics!
Typical fall colors are not my favorite, but THIS one is great. I love the colors -- especially the blues and greens. And the rusts and browns are great.
Those are the colors I'm always drawn to and your quilt is beautiful..
Very nice!!!
The leaves on the larger blocks help make the quilt a zinger. Piano keys on the border and flannel on the back - Ahhhh.
That's so nice looking. I really like the Connecting Threads fabrics you used, and the leaves falling across them are a great touch. Excellent job!
