Little House on the Prairie Twin Size Quilt

2 Attachment(s)
Last week I posted a picture of the Little House on the Prairie doll quilt I had just finished:

http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...t-t278107.html

I have now finished the same pattern and fabrics in a twin size. I tied this quilt and used a higher loft batting, because I think that Laura and Mary would probably have slept under something more like a comforter. Please see the doll quilt post for information about the pattern.

As long as you are happy with ties, that is all that matters. There were a lot of hand quilters back then.

Very nice!

Very pretty! A lot of pioneer quilts were tied.

very nice quilt. It is as lovely as the doll quilt, and, I suspect, about the same amount of work.

nicely done

Laura and Mary would have slept under 5 or 6 quilts for warmth on the cold prairie in winter - so keep sewing - This one is lovely!

Thanks for your compliment! Jackie copyrighted her patterns under her company trademark of Accu-Patterns. However, she is retired and her business is no longer open. I understood that she had sold her copyrights, but I don't know to whom. I can tell you that Lone Star Quiltworks sells her "Tessalated Texas" pattern. I do not see it on their website, but you might want to contact them to see if they know where to get "Nine Patch Blessings."

Great quilt and fabrics.

The ties sure make it look like an older one. Love it.

It is remarkable that you finished the twin one so quickly! I really didn't think that you would complete it so soon. It is as lovely as the doll quilt and I love the ties. Now, I think you had better start on the second twin and doll for your second niece. Rose
